One restaurant, one family and a lot of sauce. Here’s how Mama T’s found its way to River Centre Landing.
A Family Name on the Door
Brandon Acles opened the first Mama T’s on Fourth Street in Huntingburg in 2011 and named it for his mother — Mama T. Generous plates of spaghetti, meatballs and lasagna made it a Dubois County favorite.
In 2015 he came home to Fourth Street for good, reopening as Mama T’s Italian Steakhouse with hand-cut steaks, seafood and the family working right alongside him.
Now the family has a second table in Jasper. Mama T’s Pizzeria & More brings those same homemade sauces and recipes to hand-made pizzas and our famous baked pastas — dine in, carry out or order online.
How We Got Here

- 2015Mama T’s Italian Steakhouse opens at 320 E. Fourth Street — steaks, seafood and the family’s Italian classics.
